Why enrolling with UEL is important? • Part of the collaborative arrangement set out in the Memorandum of Collaboration (initial approval stage) • Collect HESA data • Students must agree to the UEL terms, conditions and regulations (Student Declaration) • Requirement for UEL Award • Students can benefit of all facilities offered by UEL!
Issues with timely enrolment • The late collection of collaborative student data is a risk to our collaboration • Students are only concerned to enrol with their home institution (not encouraged by partner institution to enrol with UEL) • Student enrolling late (after 90 days) – expiry of password (additional barriers to enrolment) • For international students - Obligations under PBS
The benefits of enrolling on time Enrolling within 4 weeks from the start of your programme means: • Prompt issuing of ID cards • Access to resources online • Access to UEL facilities • Part of the UEL community!
ID cards • Student Records process ID cards provided that the following is supplied: • jpg format photos of students head / shoulders only. • One photo per student • Photos must be approx 300 pixels in width • Files must be names in the format 1123456.jpg (student number). • ID cards productions slots in September
Possible ways forward • Identify barriers to timely enrolment • Find what you can do to address the issue • Share areas of good practice
Useful information • Administrative procedure for students on collaborative programmes • School Administrators (your first point of contact) • studrec@uel.ac.uk • s.kadambi@uel.ac.uk
