Laboratory • Prelab quiz will be given the day of the experiment • Objectives of the experiment • How to perform the experiments • What equipment you may need • NO food or drinks are allowed in the lab.
Laboratory • During the lab • Students form lab groups of 3 per bench. • Each member of the group must have distinctive role. • Adhere to all safety rules. • NEVER connect your circuit to the power source before the TA approves your connections, settings and procedure. • 5% of your grade is based on your ACTIVEPARTICIPATION in the lab.
Laboratory • Lab reports • One lab report per group • Each member in the group must identify his part in the report. • Report must have (as a minimum) the following components: • Objectives • Circuit and instrumentation • Data collected and how it is collected • What you have learned from the experiment • Conclusions
Mandatory Review • On their own, all students are required to review Chapter 7: AC Circuits. • Homework on Chapter 7 is assigned on the class web site
