We have chosen the Bunyip as our logo because much of the course is through the Bunyip State Park Aboriginal legend has it that the Bunyip lurks in the Australian bush and emerges at night, often with terrifying cries and blood curdling screams. Often the Bunyip has been described as a gorilla-type animal, varying to half human half animal and also as a spirit. The shape, size and colour of the Bunyip varies as much as it's description. However, we prefer to believe that the Bunyip has an appealing personality that is helpful to all travelers and embodies the spirit of the Australian bush
