Kagan Cooperative Learning is a great option for across-cluster professional development because: Our workshops cater for all teachers and school leaders • Our structures are content-free which means everyone, no matter what role, level, or subject area they teach, can attend the same PLD • Our structures work with adults as well • Kagan CL is not about ‘roles’ eg Materials Manager, Recorder etc • We allow repeat-attendance free of charge ie pay for Day 1 once and attend again (and again) as a refresher for free

Kagan Cooperative Learning is a great option for across-cluster professional development because: It’s more cost-effective for you that way HOSTED WORKSHOP FEES *30-40 people $3000 41-80 people $3000 then $70pp 81 plus people $3000 then $65pp NB All prices exclude GST *12-16 is our minimum for any Kagan Professional Development workshop – talk to us if you only have a small number so we can work out the most cost-effective way for you

12. What does hosting a Kagan event involve? The host school: • Provides the venue (ie school hall) including tables and chairs • Provides a data projector and screen • Assists with set up and break down • Provides morning and afternoon tea • Can ask other cluster schools to share the role • Decides if it is an open or closed event (open – anyone can attend) • Liaises with Kagan NZ regarding registrations and promotion

13. What does Kagan NZ provide? Kagan NZ will: • Provide a certified Kagan trainer to run the workshop • Print and provide each attendee with a course workbook* • Set up the venue as per Kagan’s high standard • Cover the trainer’s travel and accommodation costs* • Assist the host school with advertising and promotion • Provide each cluster school with one day of free coaching* • Liaise with the host school to ensure the event is a success • Share the workshop evaluation forms with the host school *Special offer until 31st March 2015
