2013 Esnet Customer Satisfaction Survey • 14 responses (12 office of Science, 2 NNSA) • Site Coordinators section of the survey: • Narrow focus: site network staff interactions w/ ESnet • Overall Rating: 4.93/5 (13 graded 5, 1 graded 4; previous year – 5) • Higher Score Areas: 4.9 – 4.93 (Science DMZ, OSCARS, WAN Svcs) • Lower Score Areas: 4.64 – 4.71 (Outreach, Notice of Outages, Planning Upgrades) • Higher-level services section of the survey • Broader scope / higher-level services - but Site Coordinators are supposed to ensure the appropriate people answer each survey question • Overall Rating: 4.93/5 (13 graded 5, 1 graded 4; previous year – 5) • Higher Score Areas: 4.67 – 4.93 (Knowledge Base, ESnet processes and responsiveness) • Lower Score Areas: 3.55, 4.27 (ESC VC, ReadyTalk)

2013 Survey Results contd.. • Removed question on “Rate your satisfaction (in terms of impact on your site) with how last year's (2012) transition of the ESnet backbone from ESnet4 to ESnet5 was handled” • Relevance of “Rate how well ESnet services complement your site’s cyber security activities. Note that ESnet does not provide site-level security services.” – keep/drop?

ESCC Charter Review • The ESCC is a standing committee whose members are appointed by the individual ESnet site organizations. The ESCC serves as: • An advisory body to the NLCIO, providing a forum for the consideration of a broad range of technical issues. • A forum for information interchange about ESnet-wide activities and plans and site-specific requirements and plans. • A forum for interactions with the ESnet manager and staff. • A forum for interactions with ER programs that use or would like to use ESnet facilities. • Action for ESCC • Update the Charter? • Align the Survey Questions with ESnet activities? • Feedback – email
