THE WORD’S STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR MARRIAGE: 1.)Ephesians 5:22-33 -Husbands: are the head (servant leaders). *Love the wife as Christ loved the church. *Love the wife as his own body. -Wives: *Submit (willingly obey) their husbands. *Reverence/Respect their husbands.

THE WORD’S STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR SINGLES: 2.)1 Corinthians 7 -VS.1 Learn to date without touching. -VS.32 Devote more time to ministry/service seeking to please the Lord. *Singles ought to ENJOY the benefit of having less obligations and use their free time to serve God in EXCELLENCE!

THE WORD’S STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR PARENTS & CHILDREN: 3.)Ephesians 6:1-4 -Children: *Obey your parents. *Honor your mother & father for long life. -Fathers/Parents: *Don’t be too hard on our children. *Nurture our children by training them in the way of the Lord (Proverbs 22:6).

THE WORD’S STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR WORK: 4.)Ephesians 6:5-9 -Employees: *Obey and respect your employers with the purpose of pleasing Christ; NOT man. *Have Character: Work well EVEN when the boss is NOT looking. -Employers: *Respect the employees. *Rule out of love; NOT fear (no threatening)!

THE WORD’S STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR CHURCH: 5.)5 NT PURPOSES (Acts 2:42-47) -Evangelism: Matthew 28:19-20 “Go…” -Worship: John 4:24 “Spirit & Truth” *My worship (not confined to location) is a lifestyle centered around the truth of God’s Word. -Fellowship: Acts 2:42 ‘be devoted to fellowship’ *This involves COMMUNITY & INTIMACY!

THE WORD’S STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE FOR CHURCH: 5.)5 NT PURPOSES (Acts 2:42-47) -Discipleship: John 8:31 ‘continue learning the WORD…’ -Ministry: Matthew 25:31-46 ‘feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick, visit the imprisoned, take in strangers, give water to the thirsty…’ THE EXCELLENT CHURCH IS INTENTIONAL AT DOING ALL FIVE OF THESE WELL!
