CALIFORNIA DOT - Local Assistance Division September 2002 DBE Program Approval Process October 1st Final Deadline New Program 06/01/-- 06/15/-- 08/01/-- 09/01/-- 10/01/-- Local Agency Submit Draft DBE Program, Annual Goal & Methodology and DBE Contract Language DLAE Review and Return Comments to Agency Local Agency Begin Public Participation Process 45 Days Local Agency If necessary, Revise DBE Program and/or Annual Goal and/or Methodology and resubmit DLAE Approves New Program Goal & Methodology Local Agency Implements New Program Goal & Methodology If the Local Agency’s DBE Program/Plan and Annual goal is not reviewed and approved by October 1st all project authorization requests for that Agency will not be processed until the DLAE reviews and approves the Local Agency’s Annual Goal
