  4. Running the Race….. • “Got to keep going, you can’t relax. It’s not easy, it’s a tough run, the pressures are there all the time.”

  5. Measuring Progress National expectation is 3 levels of progress from KS2 to KS4.

  6. All about buckets….. Bucket 2 Ebacc Subjects Bucket 1 English and Maths Bucket 3 Open English Language OR English Literature WITH Maths Sciences History/Geography MFL (French/Spanish) All other subjects BTEC subjects

  7. Weightings • 20% • 20% • 10% Moving your grade in NON-Core subjects up by one grade will mean a move of 0.1 on your progress score.   9. Who can maximise their Progress score by the end of the exam period? Compete with your friends, compete with your class, can you become a ‘green student?’ Negative ALL buckets (RED GROUP) Negative in some buckets (AMBER GROUP) Positive in ALL buckets (Green Group) PRIZES ARE AVAILABLE!

Diagnosis Therapy TestingDTT • Do something about it….. • Attend intervention • Practice some past papers • Speak to a teacher – pose a question postcard • Re-Read your notes • Research/visit relevant websites • Create some cue cards Check your understanding: 1)Mark some practice questions 2) Get a friend to test you. Use the mock exam gap analysis, progress tests, your own revision to find out what gaps you have in your knowledge…….what do you NOT know?

A post box will be placed in the LRC with “postcards” available in tutor bases for you to ask us for support. But working together you can be brilliant!!
