Preparing to make a Photo gallery in CMS you will need to set up a folder to save all the photos you will upload to the gallery. All photos must be sized, rotated and adjusted in photoshop or photoshop elements prior to uploading to CMS. Once in CMS no adjustments may be made in the direction of the photo only brightness and contrast. Check with your TRT so that the photo gallery option is turned on for your account.
Preparing Photos for the Web Use Digital photos or scanned artwork files. The best resolution for the web is 72 dpi. Approx. 4in x 6in. Photos must be saved as JPEG extension. PSD extension(Photoshop documents will not upload and be read by the web)
Once opened in Photoshop/Photoshop elements Go to Edit Image size and adjust the file size. You can also crop the photos, rotate and adjust the Brightness and Contrast before saving to your file.
Saving files: File Names: When saving your files save with short names No commas or apostrophes. Here is an example of how to save the file Student’s first name_drawing_Art 1 Ie: Liz S_Drawing_Art 4 If you have a digital photo of a student (which has not been altered)do not use the student’sfull name as the save for the file so as not to identify the student.
