Flu Pandemic • Occurs when a new Flu virus emerges • And… • 1) Little/No immunity in humans, • 2) Spreads quickly and easily from person to person world wide, • And • 3) Causes serious illness or death

Precautions • Avoid sick people • Practice good handwashing • Sneeze or cough into your elbow • If you have fever (100 or higher), sudden onset of symptoms, generalize aches and pain, generally feel worse than a cold, see your physician. • You could have regular seasonal flu, but still could be treated with Tamiflu or Relenza, reducing severity of flu • Live in a bubble
