Primary Review – Rationale 3.44 Even now, a reasonable grasp of ICT is needed in education and employment, and it will become increasingly important to command ICT skills to prepare for technologies of the future. 3.45 To argue against the importance of ICT in the primary curriculum is to ignore the increasing digitisation of information worldwide. 29. ICT in Practice • We need to give time to pupils to learn these technologies in order to then use them to facilitate learning • When pupils’ ICT skills grow, their focus will switch to learning via the tool,i.e. the tool now enhances the learning teachers teachers’ teaching Teachers too!
