Work Breakdown Structure Considerations • Contract work accounted for but defined by consulting company • Smallest unit is equivalent to a work package • Expected to see changes as the project work is defined. • Allows easy defining of work between contract designand in-house design. Purpose • Identifies parts of project to be managed. • Shows division of work in a multi-level system. • Allows all project work to be accounted for in one document. • Basis for measure of performance.

  7. Cost Breakdown Structure Considerations 1 2 3 Purpose Only includes allcosts of the project. Included: support personnel, equipment, supplies, etc. But these are excluded from the project control system for monitoring. Give accounting of costs for the project.
