  1. How Well Does Apple Watch Detect your Health Conditions

  2. How Well Does Apple Watch Detect your Health Conditions An Apple Watch is widely used as a fitness tracker across the world. It is going advanced day by day with each upcoming generation. The Apple Watches of the latest generation have features to monitor some new health conditions. Let’s see what more it can do. Don’t consider an Apple Watch as a medical device You have to remember that an Apple Watch is only a smartwatch, not your medical doctor. Having an Apple Watch doesn’t mean you no longer need a doctor for your medical conditions. You should never depend on a digital device or the internet for your physical and mental health conditions. If you see a different reading on your watch, you should immediately consult your doctor. Moreover, this post will help you learn what an Apple Watch can tell you about your health.

  3. High and low heart rates An Apple Watch tells about your heart rate in the following ways: The Apple Watch Series 1 or newer combines an optical sensor to measure heart rate. The Apple Watch Series 4 or newer (not the first SE model) comes with an electrical heart sensor. This sensor only works with the ECG app.  An optical heart rate sensor is responsible for your high and low heart rates. The Apple Watch with an optical heart rate sensor notifies you when the heart rate goes more than 120 bpm for 10 minutes or goes below 40 bpm for 10 minutes.      You can use the electrical heart rate only with the ECG app. It measures heart rate quite accurately. If you have irregular heart rates, you can quickly generate an ECG using the app. With the app’s ECG, you can consult your doctor. Please note that a measure of average heart rate varies from person to person.  Abnormal heart rhythms Apart from measuring heart rate, you can also use the Apple Watch to measure the heart’s rhythm. It also measures atrial fibrillation (AFib) in case of an irregular beat in the heart’s upper chambers. If you experience it, you should immediately consult your doctor as it can be severe for you. But remember that your smartwatch can also show you false data about your health. That means you can receive notifications about AFib even if you have no AFib. Most importantly, the heart attack condition isn’t monitored by the Apple Watch.

  4. Inform about loud environments Some Apple Watches inform you about the intensity of noise around you. The Noise app offers this facility. The Apple Watch SE and later supports the Noise app. The app notifies you when your background noise level goes more than 80dB (a certain level). In that way, it saves your hearing power.  Fall Detection In daily life, one can fall anytime and anywhere, whether it be a home, a market, a road, or anything else. Mostly, older people are prone to slip or fall. Thanks, Apple, for developing smartwatches. An Apple Watch will let you know when an individual from your family with Apple Watch falls in an emergency. But here is something important to know. It is not necessary that your smartwatches will detect when someone falls or slips.  In conclusion, the Apple Watch Series 6 introduced a blood oxygenation sensor, a wellness feature, not a medical doctor. However, this feature can be changed in the future. Apple Watches may be advanced in the future that will detect some more health conditions.
