  1. How Can I Help SAVE the planet? By Mrs. Kalal

  2. Reducing, Reusing & Recycling • Reducing means using only the resources I NEED to use and reducing my waste • Reusing means using things over again instead of just throwing them away • Recycling means changing used things into something new instead of sending them to the landfill.

  3. How can I Reduce? • Take a shower instead of a bath • Turn down the heat when I am not home or when I am sleeping • Bike to places that are close by instead of driving my hot rot

  4. How can I Reuse? • Use reusable shopping bags instead of getting plastic or paper bags at the store every time. • Buy a reusable water bottle and keep refilling it. • Plan a garage sale at my house to sell my things and let OTHER people reuse my things! (And I can make some $$)

  5. How can I Recycle? • The biggest way I can recycle is to THINK ABOUT WHAT I THROW AWAY!! Here are things that should never be thrown in the trash: • Glass • Plastic • Paper • Aluminum • Cardboard

  6. What resources am I saving? • Water • Electricity or natural gas • Oil (gasoline and plastic are made of oil) • Trees • Did I forget any???

  7. My Pledge: I pledge to help save the planet by working hard to remember my reusable bags when I go shopping!
