  2. What is inappropriate work behavior? • Any behavior that is not considered correct or proper for the work environment • It’s when you are doing things you aren’t supposed to be doing 8.0 Analyze & Develop Legal and Ethical Behaviors

  3. What are some examples of inappropriate work behavior? • Sexual Harassment • Unethical use of information • Nepotism • Inappropriate use of technology, Internet, and email • Inappropriate conduct • Discrimination • Poor Employability 8.0 Analyze & Develop Legal and Ethical Behaviors

  4. Sexual Harassment • Unwanted sexual advances or remarks • Examples: • Making comments about someone’s body • Telling sexual jokes • Requiring sexual behavior to get a promotion 8.0 Analyze & Develop Legal and Ethical Behaviors

  5. Unethical use of information • Using work information for reasons that are not work related • Examples: • Using company information for your own benefit • Sharing company information with people who do not work for the company 8.0 Analyze & Develop Legal and Ethical Behaviors

Behavior has Consequences • A consequence is the result or outcome of a certain behavior. • It is what happens after you do something. • Consequences can be positive or negative • Example: A positive consequence of studying for a test is getting a good grade. • Example: A negative consequence of fighting at school is getting suspended. 8.0 Analyze & Develop Legal and Ethical Behaviors
