SAS and Common Core • PDE has revised the ELA and Math Curriculum Frameworks • Draft copies can be found on the SAS site • The documents include Long Term transfer Goals, Big Ideas, and Essential Questions aligned to PA Common Core.  Concepts and Competencies will be added to complete the frameworks at a later date.

  4. Common Core • The School District of the City of Erie is heading a regional Common Core Task Force • Goal is to Leverage local partnerships to develop resources and tools that will help facilitate the implementation of Common Core • PA Common Core ELA Training Modules

  5. Comprehensive Planning • School Level Plans that were submitted in August will be reviewed next week • Christy, Jesse, James, and Jim will be reviewing for PDE starting on November 9, 2012 • Title I schools only • We are still waiting on the 11-12 AYP data to be uploaded to the Online CP Tool

  6. HB 1901 • House Bill 1901 - These Omnibus Amendments enacted on June 30, 2012 significantly impacts certain aspects of the Public School Code of 1949 • Section 14.1 Professional Employees and temporary professional employees rating This bolded section goes on for several pages • (iii) under this section speaks to superseding all other rating card and forms used previously • (i) later on it notes that the aggregate results if all professional employee and temporary employee, principal and nonteaching professional employee evaluations be sent to PDE.
