Effectiveness of Analysis • Your analysis demonstrated: • Barriers to use of technology in education: budget, resistance from educators and administrative delays • Leader options: do nothing, move towards change, rally troops, model, utilize system thinking, teacher role evolving to model behavior, willingness to try new modes of technology

Effectiveness Continued • Situation: funding, training needs, technology accelerating quickly • Followers: Students as teachers, students encouraged to determine what technology is valuable for their learning needs, teachers need training • Themes: funding, training, administrative barriers • Author’s Recommendations: Be open minded

Differences or Similarities • Teachers, like nurses, are being impacted by technology.  • We both looking at technology in the same way but approaches to the situation might be different.  • Nursing taking an active role in legislation and gaining support from unions, going beyond walls of institutions.
