  2. The Core Values Platform has been developed to support “values-based planning” throughout the BC Baseball community

  3. BC Minor Baseball AssociationCore Values Platform Purpose Helping young players in communities across BC have fun and develop baseball skills. Core Values 1. Kids should have fun playing baseball. 2. All players need opportunities and support to develop their skills. 3. All players should be supported in pursuing their personal goals and aspirations. 4. In giving back to our communities, we contribute to the health and vitality of our communities. Vision An an exemplary youth baseball association in Canada, BC Baseball shows year-by-year increasing enrolments and participation of young British Columbians developing skills while enjoying the great game of baseball.

What’s this Core Values Platform all about? • A tool, resource for BC Baseball Leaders • A guide, framework to get a strong + clear focus • Foundation for setting priorities + making decisions + defending decisions • Alignment – grass roots activities/realities in sync with provincial direction … and vice versa • A way to Inform, Educate, Engage

CORE VALUES PLATFORM v THE TRANSITION MAP(2nd Piece of Three) CHALLENGES Difficult to recruit and develop enough coaches who share our Core Values and believe in our Purpose Having the financial resources required to support our kids and our programs Lack of succession planning for Board members and other volunteers Our Purpose Helping young players in communities across BC have fun and develop baseball skills Our Core Values Kids should have fun playing baseball All players need opportunities and support to develop their skills All players should be supported in pursuing their personal goals and aspirations in baseball In giving back to our communities, we contribute to the health and vitality of our communities Our Vision As an exemplary youth baseball association in Canada, BC Baseball shows year-by-year, increasing enrolments and participation of young British Columbians developing skills while enjoying the great game of baseball.
