Defining Core Values Personal They are basic practices and beliefs we use in all aspects of life, work, and family.

My Core Values • Relationships – add value to others. • Excellence – be excellent at what you can. • Attitude – attitude determines your latitude. • Love – love hard, live right, and pray often. • Integrity – never violate your personal or professional integrity. • Truth – seek it. • Youth – see life through a child's eyes. My Core Values Family: • My mother - always told me that anything worth doing is worth doing right… (the first time). • My father – Son quit feeling sorry for yourself and do something! • Uncle Earl Pence – A man is only as tough as he wants to be. • US Marine (Retired) • Veteran of WWII and Korea “Momma always told me life is like a box of chocolates” Forest Gump
My Core Values Professional Teaching Career: • Learn something new everyday. • Maintain your professional bearing. • Always put the student’s needs first. • Effectively utilize available resources. • Develop relationships with your students.
My Core Values Military Career: • Courage – be courageous in the face of adversity. • Duty – fulfill your obligations. • Honor – real men have it. • Integrity – do what is right even if no one is around. • Loyalty – be faithful. • Respect – always give it and also expect it. • Service – put others before yourself.
My Core Values Life Experiences: • The 100 / zero Rule – Give 100% at everything you do and expect zero in return. • Live, love, and learn - constantly. • Learn to empower others – delegate responsibly. • Find time for those dear to you – life is short.
