The professional profile of veterinarians as response to economic and market needs in Bosnia and Herzegovina -presentation of the results of Project Activity 1-
Overview of the response • Approximately 1000 veterinarians in the country estimate of the State Veterinary Office of BiH for 2006 • 600 questionnaires mailed out • 400 to veterinary practitioners • 200 to veterinarians in government, education, industry... • 324 to veterinarians in FBiH • 26 to veterinarians in DB • 250 to veterinarians in RS • Overall response 40,8% (245/600)

Needs for veterinary education- Proportions of respondents unsatisfied with the knowledge they had day one after graduation - • Veterinarians younger than 33 years of age are 1,5 times more • likely to be unsatisfied with the knowledge they gained at • veterinary faculty compared to their older colleagues
