  1. All About Leopard The Leopard is an endangered animal. This PowerPoint will give you information about where a Leopard lives, what a Leopard likes to eat, the early stages of a Leopard’s life, why they are endangered, and how they are getting help.   2. Where a Leopard Lives • Found in nearly all of Africa • Some live in rainforests • Some live in plains

  3. A Leopard’sEarly Stages of Life • Cubs open their eyes when 10 days old • At three months of age the cubs begin to follow their mom on hunts

  4. What a Leopard Likes To Eat • They are carnivores • They eat wildebeest, zebras, small antelope and almost anything else

  5. Why Leopards Are Endangered • Doing well in the wild with the latest population estimated at over 500,000 worldwide • From 1960-1970, thousands of leopards were poisoned or shot for their fur • Farmers put poison on the dead animals so the leopards would eat the poisoned meat

  6. How Leopards Are Getting Help • Laws to protect them • People are trying to not destroy their habitat
