Background • Bovine passport data is stored in national databases • The passport must follow an animal that moves between Member States • Due to e.g. varying internal formats this is typically done on paper TRACES Seminar Palermo

What will be exchanged? • National DBs differ, so not a complete copy of passport from national database • Only ID data according to Directive 64/432/EEC • Format determined by agreed data dictionary and schema • Future versions may have additional features TRACES Seminar Palermo
