“A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic—on the level with a man who says he is a poached egg—or he would be the devil of hell. You must take your choice. Either this was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.” –C. S. Lewis
LIAR, LUNATIC, Mark 3:20-30 LORD?
LORD? LUNATIC, LIAR, Mark 3:20-30 His own people said that He was a Lunatic, He is Crazy! He claims to forgive sins. He claims to be God. He calls men to follow Him and preach the “Word.” He doesn’t work for a living but travels around preaching.
LORD? LUNATIC, LIAR, Mark 3:20-30 The religious leaders said He was a Liar, He is Evil, He is Beelzebub! If He was from God, then they would be obligated to follow Him. If He was from God, then their system was coming to an end. If He was from God, then they would be out of business.
LORD? LUNATIC, LIAR, Mark 3:20-30 Jesus’ Response A Kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. A home divided will surely fail. Therefore Satan would not go against himself.
LORD? LUNATIC, LIAR, Mark 3:20-30 The Parable of the Strong Man Satan is the strong man, you are his goods. Jesus is the stronger man, He saves you from Satan.
