  3. What is the goblin shark • The Goblin shark is a rare type of shark that scientists don’t know a lot about, they call it a living fossil. They first discovered a Goblin shark in 1897 by a Japanese fisherman of the coast of yokohoma, Japan.

  4. What do they look like? • Goblin sharks have a long snout and jaw that can extend out of their mouths to catch prey is their most distinguishing feature. • They can grow larger then 15 feet. The most recent one caught is 18 feet long.

  5. This video is showing a goblin shark’s mouth extend out.

  6. Where are they found? • Goblin sharks are found in the deepest part of the sea in temperate waters around the world in places like Japan, Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.
