The Club and Facilities • Villarreal are one of the up and coming clubs in Europe • La Liga runners up 2007/2008 • Founded in 1923 • Were in the lower divisions until 1998 • Chance to watch first team train (subject to match schedule) • 1st La Liga match was against Real Madrid at the Bernebeu • All Villarreal CF teams train at the same training facilities • One superb natural grass pitche and two 3rd generation FIFA approved astroturfpitche • Eight 5-a-side astroturf pitches • Lost Champions League semi final against Arsenal 2006 • Madrigal Stadium holds 27,000 spectators
