  2. You should Subtract or take away the same number of ones for each side so that one side has no 1’s. Then x = the ones left over.  One step + & - equations Do you see what we did?

  3. Divide X’s by the number to the right. If the majority of the number to the right is negative the answer is 2. One step Multiplication equations

  4. If there are more squares on the right have more squares on the left cross off all of the left. Then divide X by the squares left. If the majority are on the left add the same number of negatives do add the same number of negatives to the right side. When you add to the right divide the answer by number of X’s. Two step equations
