Article One House of Representatives Senate Qualifications: Article one, section three, has three qualifications listed for the senate. 1.) Must be at least 30 years old. 2.) Must have lived in the U.S.A. for the past nine years. 3.) Must live in the state you are representing. Elections are held every six years. Responsibilities: The senates responsibilities are to work on legislative reforms and settling conflicts of interest between federal institutions. Qualifications: Article one, section two, has three qualifications set for the house of representatives. 1.) Must be at least 25. 2.) been a citizen of the U.S.A. for at least 7 years. 3.) Must live in the state you represent. Elections are held every two years. Responsibilities: Members of the House of Representatives are expected to read, review, and pass on bills, counting and declaring votes on issues, and pass on new laws.
