  3. Likes • Likes are important for every Facebook page. The more people you have liking your page the larger your audience is for engagement.

  4. Likes • Likes are also important for individual posts. Whether it’s a status of information or a picture LIKE LIKELIKE

  5. Shares • Sharing is the best way to get the word out. If you see a post on the page, feel free to share it on your personal page so your Facebook friends can see it.

  7. Examples • “It’s hard to believe it’s been __ years since I graduated from Elon. So excited to celebrate with all my classmates at Homecoming, October 17-19! Be sure to “like” our Facebook page to stay informed!” • “Officiallyregistered for Elon’s Homecoming 2014 to celebrate my ___ reunion. Will you be there?” • “Just donated to Elon in honor of my ___th reunion. Join me and help us reach our participation goal!”

  8. Ideas • What do you want to see on your Class/Affinity Facebook page? • Do you have a designated Social media committee member? Should you designate one? • What pictures do you have from your days at Elon that could be incorporated into the page? • Do you know a connector who could help drive traffic to your page?
