Public Information Job Aid How to run a B0048 Report in BI
Click on the B0048 Report located in Personnel Admin-Employee Details and Actions of your BEACON access.
There will be two required fields that must be populated in order for this Report to run. (even though the Organizational Unit does not say Single Value, Mandatory.)
1 2 You first click on the highest level of the Org Units and then click Add so that it populates on the right column.) Finally, click OK when you are done. 3
You will then click the matchcode so that you can search for the employee. (assuming you do not have his/her personnel number.)
You will change the option in the Show view from All to Search.
You will check to make sure that the Search has “Text” for the Employee feature and then enter the name of the employee. Note: The * is a search string feature. Placed before your letters, it will search for all information in front of your letters and placed after your letters, will find all information placed after your letters. In BI, it is case-sensitive! Click on Search when you are ready. 2 3 1
You will highlight the name that you want to populate and then click on OK 1 2
Now that both Variables are populated, you then click on OK to run the Report.
Information that is requested will populate and you can drag more information from Free Characteristics into the Report.
This information can then be printed or downloaded into an Excel Spreadsheet. If you download it to Excel, you will click on Export to Excel and then when the pop up window comes up, you will hit Open first and then once the Excel Spreadsheet populates, you can save the file.
