  2. Why is PDHPE important in Primary Schools? Teaching PDHPE allows students to develop knowledge, skills and values so that they can live to be happy, healthy individuals in our society. It also allows students to develop a positive attitude towards their healthy lifestyle.

  3. What ‘PD’ Teaches? • Students develop an understanding towards respecting and valuing others as well as oneself. • It teaches them how to develop positive relationships with individuals within their environments.

  4. What ‘H’ Teaches • Students learn about health and ways of adopting a physically, emotionally and socially healthy life. • They learn about the importance of safety and keeping oneself away from harm and danger.

  5. What ‘PE’ Teaches • PE promotes physical activity and teach students how to adopt a healthy, happy lifestyle through types of sports and exercises. • The skills exercised in PE lessons will enable students to practice for better health and movement outcomes.
