Setting a context for understanding • Development group must • share common goals • represent the interests of all those involved • Small, representative group • Take time from the beginning to develop a vision for the end product • Keep that vision in mind throughout the rest of the process • IDLA: IT Director, Programmer, Curr. Setting a development framework for understanding • Iterative Process • Project Management • Develop one piece at a time • Analyze with development group • Analyze with beta testers • Monitor and adjust • IDLA Example: Meet with Curriculum Team, beta test with teachers, fine-tune as you go
Managing the project • Each project member should understand their role • Communication is key! • Prioritize- Don’t spend time spinning your wheels in different directions • IDLA Example: IT Director manages implementation and deployment of different phases, taking feedback from different stakeholders into consideration
