Other information On the other hand: • She is very independent. • She is very enterprising. • In general she is a very merry girl. Some pictures of her are available.
ADPD en ADW • ADPD is another way of thinking about pupils with learning and educational problems. Mostly teachers (and parents) try to help the pupil with things he doesn’t know. ADPD looks for things a pupil already knows. That is the starting point for help. • Vision / starting point of ADPD should be the leading principles: • educational optimism • ownership • starting with chances • directed to solutions/ directed to action • central role for the teacher
ADPD en ADW Educational optimism: • Entrust on the power of development from everybody. • Everybody has possibilities to develop and has an own force for development! Everyone has got talents! Start from basic needs: • Relationship, competention and independence for the teacher and the pupil(s) as well. Education is ‘learn how to learn’: • Knowledge as a remedy and the teacher as the mediator! • Everyone is the owner of his own development! • Don’t talk over the pupil, but with the pupil.
ADPD en ADW ADPD and ADW: • Strengthens the primary process • Professionalizes the capabilities of the teacher • Enlarges the involvement of the parents • Raises the educational possibilities of the school This way of working will only succeed when it centralizes the role of the pupil ánd the teacher!!
ADPD en ADW Intentions of ADPD en ADW • Educational care as close to the pupil as possible • Be present when you are needed • Directed to the work in the class, the practice • Educational support must be realizable, useful and practicable Parents are important partners!
