This is HUGE • 131 Million worldwide • 6 Million US Citizens (based on population 9/1/2006) • At any given time, 20-40% of workforce will be disabled by illness, or need to give care to family members • Police, teachers, medical profession, food suppliers, transportation workers, government workers, etc.

What is InfraGard? • Started in 1996 in Cleveland, Ohio to assist the FBI with Cyber Investigations. • In 1998 became a national program • Assigned to FBI Cyber Division in 2003 • Today InfraGard is 16,000 members strong, and growing
Mission Statement • It is our goal to improve and extend information sharing between private industry and the government, particularly the FBI, when it comes to critical national infrastructures
What is a Critical Infrastructure? • “….physical and cyber-based systems essential to the minimum operations of the economy and government” • “…so vital, that their incapacity or destruction would have a debilitating impact on the defense or economic security of the United States.”
