Separate systems The respiratory system is used to bring oxygen to blood cells. By a transfer oxygen into blood cells through the alveoli. The cardiovascular system is the blood system. It carries blood to all areas of the body through a network of veins, arteries, aorta, venules, arterioles, capillaries and venae cavae.
Heart <3 your heart pumps blood to every muscle in your body. It beats about 60-100 times a minuet and more than 2.5 billion time in your life. It has two halves a bigger left one and a smaller right one The left pumps blood to they body Right pumps blood to the lungs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Heart_diagram-en.svg
System Blood carries nutrients to the entire body. All of your veins, arteries, aorta, capillaries, venules and arterioles lined up end to end would be about 100,000 km. In capillaries oxygen, glucose and other nutrients diffuse through the thin walls into fluid that surrounds cell tissue.
Blood cells White blood cells are derived form special cells in bone marrow. They defend the body from infections and other various unknown materials. There is many different types. Red blood cells carry oxygen and nutrients to muscles and organs. Red blood cells do not have a nucleus or most organelles. Contain hemoglobin.
The blood carriers Arteries carry blood away from your heart , this blood is oxygenated. The largest atery is the aorta, its about as big as a penny Capillaries are networks that work as transfers, the oxygen goes into a fluid that surrounds the capillaries. Oxygen leaves the cell and is replace with carbon dioxide. http://lymphedema.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=84222206
Respiratory Air goes into your mouth or nasal cavity. Past the pharynx, the epiglottis, the larynx and into the trachea. Separates in the bronchi and branches into bronchioles. Alveoli is surrounded by capillaries.
Alveoli The gas exchange happens in the alveoli. The alveoli has oxygenized air in it. The pulmonary arteriole brings in deoxygenated blood. The oxygen bonds to the hemoglobin in the red blood cells. The oxygenated blood is taken to the heart my the pulmonary venule.
