Project Overview • Project Limits from Route 29 to 1 Mile West of Route 15 • Widen I-66 to 4 lanes each direction • Left Lane will be designated as HOV • Widen WB Off-Ramp to Route 15 to Provide 2nd Left Turn Lane • Reconstruct Old Carolina Road and Catharpin Road Bridges • Construct Noise Barriers

  12. Detours During Construction • Old Carolina Rd / Jefferson Street will be CLOSED • between Walter Robinson Ln & Cheyenne Way. • Why: Demo & Reconstruct I66 Overpass • When: Late June 2014 to November 2015 • Detours: via Route 15 or Catharpin Rd

Addressing Your Concerns… Regarding Construction • Traffic disruptions will be minimized to the extent possible with daily off-peak lane closures along I-66 and Route 15 Interchange Ramps • A majority of the construction operations will be on weekdays during normal daytime hours, generally 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. • Some work will need to be done at night (bridge demolition, bridge beam erection, deck pours, major drainage construction, paving and striping).
