  2. The Rotary Club of Mandaluyong D3800 Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) Humanitarian Relief Mission a joint project with RC Alabang Decembner 16 – 20, 2013 Report on: RC Mandaluyong Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) Dear Fellow Rotarians, Under the leadership of President Bert de Luna, from the 16th to 20th of December 2013, the Rotary Club of  Mandaluyong had a joint project with RC Alabang (lead club) to provide humanitarian relief for the victims of Typhoon Hayian (Yolanda) in barangay's located in Roxas City, Capiz and Aklan.  Our participation in this project that brought together several Rotary Clubs was by the way of medicine donations and water sterilization tablets.  The medicines and vitamins that RC Mandaluyong purchased was from Sydenham Laboratories  Inc. and St. Patrick's Medical Systems.  These were purchased at manufacturer's cost  (P187,425.00). The purchased medicines were matched in terms of free goods of the same quantity by the suppliers. Thus, the value of our purchase is P187,425 x 2 = P374,850.00  The water sterilization tablets (aqua tabs) were purchased by the club  thru the help of RC Greater Mandaluyong at a value of about (P175,000.00). Total value of our contribution is  P549,850.00 (374,850.00 + 175,000.00).   The funding that we used for the project partially came from our international sister clubs from Japan, Malaysia and Hong Kong.  These clubs sent over monetary donations to help the victims of Yolanda.  PP Albert coordinated the donation and can provide the club with a report of the detailed monetary value of the contribution of our international sister clubs. Presented herewith is a report provided to the club by the President of the Rotary Club of Alabang, Nick de Leon - Villatuya M.D. Yours in Rotary, PP Mike dela Cruz Project Chairman
