  1. SeON WG (GISFI #7)Agenda GISFI # 07, Dec 19-22, 2011, New Delhi On Behalf of Chair (Ashutosh, NIKSUN) Niranth, Huawei Doc No: GISFI_SeON_201112163

  2. Agenda • Sharing of SeON WG GISFI #6 Report • Status of SeON WG Deliverables • Contributions for SeON WG GISFI #7

  3. GISFI #6 Report • Based on GISFI_SeON_201109143, Chair – Ashutosh, NIKSUN • Topics discussed during GISFI #6 • Security and QOS related items moved to SIG • IEEE NGSON architecture introduced by Huawei • Appropriate to SeON objective • How to address Security and QoS in details for an overlay network • Gap analysis with IETF and ATIS • Next Steps • Document Status • Finalize the existing framework document as per the new charter • Gap analysis and Reference models (e.g., NGSON, ATIS) • Cloud computing framework for Telecom • Business model document that drive requirements • Contribution to IEEE, IETF and ATIS • Map GISFI requirements including rural to NGSON • Evolution of SDP • MOU/LS to P1903, IETF, ITU-T, and ATIS SON/Cloud Computing Forum • New Vice-chair from Huawei

  4. SeON WG Deliverables - Status • Based on input of the document - GISFI_SeON_201109144 from Chair – Ashutosh, NIKSUN • 6 Task Forces • 1 (Closed) • 4 (In Progress) • 1 (Moved to Security and Privacy WG) • GISFI #7 • As of today what areas are emergent for standardization in SeON. • Bring out clarity on completion of the TRs and make them available for review to all members.

  5. Task 1: SeON Framework document • Rapporteur: NIKSUN • Contributors: VNL, TCS, Huawei • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Deliverable No.: TBD • Status: In Progress (90% complete) • Modify the existing frame work document from the perspective of Collaboration with the activities of other related WGs such as OMA, ATIS SON, IEEE NGSON and IETF. • Word format of the document to be uploaded by Ashutosh by mid of Jan’12 for further contributions. • GISFI #7 • SeON Standardization Areas for GISFI. • Making the document available for review by Mar’12.

  6. Task 2: Business Models and Architecture • Rapporteur: NEC, • Contributors: VNL, TCS, NIKSUN, MPHASIS • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Deliverable No.: TBD • Status: Completed. • Definition of the business models. • Mapping of service oriented architecture with the business models. • In particular, the team will define a few use case scenarios where both a third party service provider and existing service provider can make use of the standards developed by GISFI to create service creation environment for the end users. • Deliverable format could be a word document or a set of annotated view graphs. • GISFI #7 • No further contributions. • To be made available for review.

  7. Task 3: Gap analysis with other SDO • Rapporteur: NIKSUN • Contributor: Ericsson, Huawei • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Deliverable No.: TBD • Status: In Progress (75% complete) • Conduct a gap analysis with other SDOs (e.g., ATIS SON, NGSON, 3GPP, OMA, IETF). • In particular, the report will include thorough analysis of ATIS SON’s WG documents and provide recommendations as to which specific work items can be carried out within GISFI and the work items that can complement the work items within SON. • Similar analysis to be conducted on IEEE-P1903 Std. (IEEE NGSON) • Gap analysis at Network infrastructural level. • GISFI #7 • SeON Standardization Areas for GISFI (NGSON perspective)

  8. Task 4: Security Models • Rapporteur: TCS • Contributors: NEC, VNL, NIKSUN, Huawei • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Deliverable No.: TBD • Status: Closed in SeON WG (MOVED TO “SECURITY AND PRIVACY WG”) • Define the security models and produce threat analysis document. • In particular, the security task group will look at the following Ongoing security work within 3GPP (e.g., security and identity aspect as single-sign-on) and will conduct a study on how security, identity and location thing will work together. • Security for Cloud Computing • The task group will clarify requirements for rural India • GISFI #7 • The deliverable may need to be merged with the “Security Requirements” TR of Security and Privacy WG. Need to discuss how it can be handled.

  9. Task 5: Information Management • Rapporteur: MPHASIS • Contributor: NIKSUN • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Status: In Progress • Information migration is beginning to play an important role as there is a gradual shift towards convergence of IT and Telco taking place. • MPHASIS will study a few set of information models as defined in TM Forum and will take into account a specific application such as wireless number portability (WNP). • The deliverable format could be a word document and set of annotated view graphs. • GISFI #7 • BasavarajHooli will be available in the next meeting.

  10. Task 6: Cloud Computing Framework • Rapporteur: TBD • Contributor: Huawei, NEC, TCS, NIKSUN • Type: Technical Report (TR) • Status: Open • GISFI #7 • Scope: ? • Aim: ? • Partners: Operators, IT Service Providers, IT Vendors, ICT Vendors, Integrators, Academia? • TCS - QoS for Cloud

  11. GISFI #7 Contributions • SeON Standardization Areas for GISFI – Niranth, Huawei • Identity Management for Service Oriented Networking – Anand, NEC (Introduction to the area without presentation)
