  3. Our goals for students • Have students develop skills in calculus and strengthen their skills in algebra and trigonometry • Have them become responsible

  4. Our goals for students • Give students opportunities for mathematical challenges beyond the scope of the course • Prepare them for success in college or university • Motivate students to enjoy the class, appreciate the subject matter, and value life-long learning

  5. How the grade is calculated • Homework-Trying, following rules, and correcting = 50% • Tests = 50% • Extra Credit - enhances grade • Grades updated daily and can be viewed on the PARENT PORTAL

  7. BC Calculus Online • A weekly e-mail outlining the week’s upcoming events • An e-mail the day before each test to give the students encouragement, some study hints and ideas for maximizing performance • All of the assignments, notices, worksheets, and requirements are posted online
