  2. Color • Color is one of the element of art. Artists use color in many different ways. • The primary colors are red, blue and yellow • The secondary colors are green, orange, and violet

  3. Value • Value is the shade of color like lightness, and darkness • You can get different values of a color by mixing its shades and tints.

  4. Line • A line can be straight or curved • Lines are used in many different ways

  5. Shape • When lines meet shapes are formed • Shapes are flat • Some shape are geometric • Some shape are organic geometric organic

  6. Form • Forms are 3-D they have height width and thickness • Shapes are flat, forms are not Here are some common forms:

  7. Texture • Texture is the way something feels when you touch it • Artist create the illusion of texture in art works such as painting and drawing

  8. Space • Shape is an empty place or surface in or around a work of art • Space can be 2-D 3-D negative or positive
