She also has to • have a curiosity for the subject she teaches, • be able to develop ability for observation and be prepared for changes. • She has to be able to find way out in different situations (chaos), • be critical when needed. • Teaching means being a step in front of a learner and ability to give opportunities to make progress.

Q2: Compare your experiences with literacy teachers and with teachers from former schooling - learners • one of them underwent for a while a foreign school, in which teachers were very helpful and dedicated to their teaching profession. He noticed the relaxed and equal relationship between teachers and learners in literacy programmes, no power relations and no external force (USA). • others have bad experiences with teachers in secondary school (they feared aggressive teachers (Iran), some teachers were disappointment to them because they did not keep promises), they did not raised learners interest for subject, they did not care when you did not know it was your own responsibility. • Literacy teachers cared for the learners and made learning meaningful. Learners were much more helpful as well, there was a lot of solidarity and motivation to attend. • Literacy teachers motivated them through egalitarian dialog, encouragement to communicate, praising, humour, learning though play and activities.
