When we think of diesel fueled vehicle this picture comes to mind
Audi has developed a diesel engine that burns fuel efficiently, is very quiet, has virtually no emissions , and performs better than gasoline powered vehicles.
Audi developed a V10 dual turbocharged diesel engine powered racecar- the Audi R10 that captured countless championships in Europe and America
Early Development Audi V10 dual turbocharged diesel racing engine The old saying “What wins on Sunday sells on Monday” certainly applies to Audi’s diesel racing engine. After multiple design stages pictured is the final result
The application of state of the art electronics and a multi filtered exhaust system provide high fuel mileage, superior torque, and an alternative to spending many hours at the gas pump. Pictured is the multi filtering exhaust system that keeps the emissions to a minimum
Pictured is the Audi A3 TDI In the picture on the right the car is actually running and as you can see there is no smoke coming from the exhaust and the engine makes very little noise as compared to early diesel powered vehicles
Although diesel is a fossil fuel and we do need to cut our dependency on crude oil, by building an efficient, high mileage, clean diesel engine Audi is on the forefront of diesel technology I would like to thank Cedric Volk of Audi of Mission Viejo for his assistance on this project
