Herbicide Strip Program Options for Pecans • Glyphosate + Surflan + Simazine = $24.75/Acre • Paraquat + Surflan + Simazine = $28.25/Acre • Glyphosate + Prowl = $19/Acre • Paraquat + Prowl = $22.50/Acre • Glyphosate + Diuron = $11.40/Acre • Paraquat + Diuron = $14.90/Acre All Glyphosate is at 1 qt/acre ($3.00) All Paraquat is at 2 pts/acre ($6.50) All Surflan ($13.50) and Simazine ($8.25) combos are at 1.5 qt per acre of each product. Diuron @ 1.6 qts/acre ($8.40)----Trees must be at least 3 years old. Use care on Sandy soils
Other Options • Aim (Carfentrazone) • Postemergence control of pigweed, morninglory • Can be tank mixed with glyphosate • Use non-ionic surfactant (1 qt/100gal) or crop oil (1gal/100gal • Best results when weeds are small • $10.50/acre @ 2 oz/acre • Sandea (Halosulfuron) • Postemergence control of nutsedge, pigweed, wild radish • Can be applied to clover • Use only on trees established for at least 1 yr • Only 2 applications/yr • $32/acre @ 1 oz/acre
