  2. Warm-Up • Turn in Reading Log and Vocabulary • Review your notes and questions for the Socratic Seminar • What do I need clarification on? • Which questions am I most curious about? • What are part of the text is most fascinating?

  3. Socratic Seminar • Two groups join together • Go around the group and everyone state one of your level 2 or 3 questions • Agree as a group which questions you would like to address first • Remember to come back to the text • Remember to come back to the text

  4. Paraphrase and be respectful • While you believe…have you considered… • Your perspective is… • Despite… • I reject…because • I’m aware that… • Furthermore… or However… • Corresponding with… • Contradictory to…

  5. Debrief and Reflections • What was your contribution to the discussion? • What ideas did you agree/disagree with? • What do you wish you had done differently during the discussion? Or what do you wish you could have added? • What is your overall evaluation of the seminar?
