The Black Death • The Black Death was also known as the bubonic plague. • The Bubonic plague was a contagious epidemic disease that was transmitted by fleas on rats.
Symptoms • This disease was very fatal. • The symptoms included chills, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and the formation of buboes.
Effects • Economy • Many financial businesses disrupted because their owners were dying. • The labor shortage was extremely severe. • Entire families were dying out and their possessions were left with no heirs.
