Now: Teamwork in AISM • Build relationships. Work together to remove barriers. IT needs to understand how we use the technology. • Help IT to become educators- bring them to PDs-. • Create a collaborative structure. Reps from PYP, MYP, and DP should have a voice in decision making • An educator in place to liaison with IT • Groups teachers into their tech “level” using a skill set survey. Ask about perceived needs. • Short Term • Training includes parents • Primary students have logins • Use productivity tools to organize ourselves • Tutorials from IT • As physical space becomes closer, it will be easier to integrate tech teachers, tech labs, tech staff, • Long Term • Computer science course • Ed tech courses from ELC to 12th grade Technology Policy at AISM
Now • Tend towards paper free • Power cables • 2 more sets of laptops for the primary school • Each computer has the same operating system • Electronic games and handheld technology • Computer trolleys • Short Term • Ceiling mounted projector in each classroom plus extras • Laptop for each teacher • Ipads/ ibooks • Document Cameras • Staff web space • Software to share • Long Term • Smart Boards • Wireless • Physical space turned into pods/ groupings • Each child has a laptop after grade 4 • ELC to grade 3 has a class set of 6 laptops Wish List for AISM
