CS2 Updates • What’s New • CS2 Software Updates in DADDS • Each Incoming Message Identified as CS1 or CS2 • Extremely Successful Transition for 300 BPS • Channel Alignment Lent Itself to Easy Transition • 1200 BPS Transition not so Easy • Channels Do Not Align With a Few Minor Exception • Emergency Channel “Borrowed” from Europe for Short Term • What’s Coming • New CS2 1200 Baud Channels to be Set up at Bottom of Spectrum • Beginning with Channels 1-6 • Letecia Working with Users Assigned There • Chosen Because HDR Transition had Left those channels Sparsely Populated NOAA GOES DCS

  5. Other Stuff All Vendors Have Been Requested to Not Sell CS1 transmitters after May 31, 2013 Users Given until May 31, 2014 to Deploy Existing CS1 Transmitters At Request of Some Users Extended to May 31, 2015 Extends Date to Remove All CS1 Transmitters to 2025. NOAA GOES DCS
