The PortLink concept ultimately links Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Esperance and Geraldton and has the potential to build a stronger and more flexible transport network.
Public consultation period now open (closes on 1 November 2013) • The Department of Transport is inviting public comment on corridor options for a heavy vehicle bypass road, freight rail realignment around the Kalgoorlie-Boulder town centre, and locations for a potential intermodal terminal (IMT). • Have your say on the options being considered . There are a number of ways you can have your say and assist in the decision making process: • 1. Complete the online comment form. • 2. Complete a written submission and submit via email, or post to PortLink, Reply Paid GPO Box C102, Perth WA 6839. • 3. Visit the PortLink displays at the William Grundt Library and local offices of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Department of Transport, Main Roads WA and Goldfields Esperance Development Commission during October 2013 to find out more information and collect and complete a comment form. • 4. There was a community information day on 19 October in the Markets Arcade Hannan Street, Kalgoorlie-Boulder. • This is an important planning initiative for Kalgoorlie - Boulder. Your views are valued and all comments will be kept confidential.
