  3. DTI Purpose • Partnership • Based on NTC history of success and aligns with NEI, DOD, and industry training initiatives to reduce training duplication and improve training efficiencies • Does not replace existing training organizations

  4. DTI Reciprocity Training Program • Checklists Available: 36 • Providers: 16 • Courses Certified: 63 • Adding 2-5 certifications/month

Reciprocity Effort Interest Initiated: • SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory • Paducah, Mid-America Conversion Services (MCS) • National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) • Electrical Training Alliance IBEW/NECA In Process: • Paducah, Swift and Staley Program • Paducah, Fluor Federal Services Program • Iron Workers National (IW) Additional Course Reviews • Pipefitters (UA) Program • Battelle Radiological Worker corporate program

DTI Common Core Courses • Maintained by DTI instructional designers and subject matter experts • Eliminates duplicative course development and maintenance activities while providing flexibility for local delivery • Looking for best course materials. Includes course materials developed by LANL and EFCOG task teams • Goal of over 150 total courses

  7. Certified Instructor Program • 51 Total Certified Instructors from 14 different locations • Allows local instructors to deliver site/project specific content • Encouraging use of regional, labor, and large site SME/peer instructors

DTI Mobile Training Teams Success Stories • Legacy Management • Completed Rad Worker Training using DTI Common Core curriculum • Has 4 certified instructors • Idaho Cleanup Project and Idaho National Laboratory • Mobile Training Team taught 6 sessions of Electrical Safety Courses; additional scheduled • Estimated cost avoidance of $50,000 per session (previously brokered) • Oak Ridge Site • Utilizing DTI for Condensation Induced Water Hammer courses since Site SME instructor retired • Bonneville Power Administration • “Based on the confined space section of the Safety and Health course, one student felt compelled to question our program and submit a safety concern in the Safety Organization. As such, we are evaluating our program to ensure it is effective at assisting our employees are recognizing hazards and eliminating them when found.  This is but one example of how I believe BPA can benefit from further DTI training” -Jeff Bartlett, Corporate Safety Training Specialist
