  1. RECFA, Tel Aviv, 10 April 2014 Theory

  2. History. • Survey of areas of research and achievements. • Universities – human resources and interests. • Participation in European networks. • Budgeting. • Quality control-Vox Populi • Summary

  3. Foundations of quantum mechanics (Rosen, • Aharonov-Bohm, Peres) • Foundations of atomic spectroscopy - Racah • Foundations of nuclear physics – Deshalit, Talmi • Foundations of the Standard model – Strong interactions – Neeman-Lipkin • Bekenstein - Black Hole - Holography.

  4. Properties of field theory- a theorem. • Phases of gauge theory and gravity, confinement, Higgs, Coulomb, lattice methods. • Cosmology, astroparticles(with the new results of BICEHP, if true, the boundary with • UV completions and BSM is ill defined. Same remark for AdS/CFT)

  5. Duality (Horn, Harari, Rosner)– from the foundations of the strong interactions to the foundations of string theory - Veneziano • String theory: AdS/CFT its relations to • gravity- turbulence. • black holes (Bekenstein-Hawking entropy) • big bangs, big crunches, firewalls. • gauge theories-”QCD Like” • holography-ABJM (d=3),heavy ion physics
