Challenge - Due to coding error, our photos and portfolio was originally on another website. We were unable to upload the photo album onto our own blog due to such quandaries.
Solution – After countless hours of tinkering with the widgets and troubleshooting (eg. Tutorial videos on YouTube helped a ton), we were able to upload the album onto our own blog instead of hosting it on another website.
Outcome – And to that end, our readers love it! Instead of clicking on another link to view our photos, they could just click on the page “A Peek At Our Portfolio” to view the photos, slide show style. This results in less hassle and user fatigue; the comments speak for themselves.
Check it out! --> • Our Facebook page serves as a platform for integration of communication, allowing us to post the latest updates, with the purpose of driving traffic to our blog. • With 47 fans and more than 400 views of our blog, Facebook proved to be an effective tool to communicate, simultaneously, to a large number of fans!
Check it out! --> • We believed that content and audience engagement is key, thus, we organized events like this photo shoot to drive increased traffic to our blog by encouraging our fans to join us.
Thus, did our marketing (In the form of an event) work? We let the numbers speak for themselves. • The event was posted on our Facebook page on the 9th of January, explaining the spike in traffic to our blog. It lasted for 2 days!
